Broughton, part of FIGHTSHOP sponsored M-1 Team England, is 2-0 in M-1 after five years on the domestic UK MMA circuit. He made his name in the UK fighting on the now defunct Cage Rage promotion, defeating names such as James Thompson, Robert “Buzz” Berry, Eric “Butterbean” Esch and UFC fighter Neil Grove.

The fifth edition of the 2009 “M-1 Challenge Presented by Affliction” is scheduled to emanate from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS on Friday, June 5. The event will be headlined by a challenge bout featuring Team USA East (1-0).

England stepped up in April and in a stunning performance upset Team Japan by a 4-1 score on its home turf in Tokyo. The Englishmen are now scheduled to take on Team France in the US on 5th June.
